Nestled in the heart of Selous, Selous Mapumziko Lodge is located in the Savannah grasslands of the Selous eco-system, just 3km from the Mtemere Gate which is the main gate to the Nyerere National Park which was known as Selous game Reserve; the largest game reserve in Africa.
Officially opened in 2017, the lodge is situated on the banks of the great River Rufiji, that flows across the Nyerere National Park. Designed to blend unassumingly into the surrounding environment, the lodge boasts of the stunningly meandering Rufiji River and plains filled with the trademark palm trees that line-up the river banks.
