SELOUS MAPUMZIKO LODGE is a budget Southern Tanzania lodge safari, a subsidiary of RAHA ADVENTURES SAFARIS which organizing the best Southern Tanzania safaris. The lodge has its own managerial structure and a dedicated team to ensure prompt replies to booking emails.
Like a small jewel in the Selous vicinity, near Mloka village; this lodge offers a breathtaking view of the Rufiji River which runs just few meters away from the Lodge’s edge.

We provide local food which Tanzanians are used for their meals. Like bananas, stiff porridge, sweet potatoes, rice, beans, fishes, vegetables and season fruits.
Selous Mapumziko Lodge has 7 well finished Mud-Bandas (typical village mud houses) and a wide campsite with a kitchen, toilet facilities, & camping fire place where you can enjoy some stories in the evening as you enjoy your favorite local beer or wine.
Each Banda has a very specious room area with a bathroom with flush toilet and running water. The roof is made of local grass allowing the Banda interior to have a cool temperature all day and night long.
The drive from Dar es Salaam to Selous Mapumziko Lodge takes about 5 to 6 hours covering 230 km. (150 km on tarmac and 80 km on rough but well maintained road).
It takes ONLY less than ½ an hour from the lodge to Mtemere Southward Gate.

Stunning Surroundings, Safari more than i expected - SharonW
I visited with a few friends and we stayed for 2 nights. We started with a river safari thinking we’d only see hippo and crocs, but the number of brightly coloured birds astounded us. Our guide was knowledgeable and patient and we were treated to a lovely sunset. (more…)
Fabulous couple of nights - KateC

The perfect place to be for a visit to Selous National Park - Designation
